SHG December Charity: Family Giving Tree

The holidays are an extremely important time of year for the developers at Sledgehammer Games. Whether it be catching up with family, logging a few more hours of sleep than we're used to, or giving back to the community around us we're determined to get the most out of it. This year, we've decided to team up with Family Giving Tree - a nonprofit organization that helps give gifts to underprivileged children in the Bay Area. The best part of the charity is that they interview the children beforehand, and we're able to fulfill their exact wishes so they have something to open this holiday season.

Thanksgiving Lunch at Sledgehammer Games

As we ready ourselves for a short Thanksgiving break next week, it's tradition at the studio to celebrate the holiday as a team before everyone goes their separate ways. This year's festivities were complete with all the fixin's, and Glen and Michael served the feast to our team in appreciation of all the hard work this year.

Sledgehammer Games is Going Big for Extra-Life 2013

10/08/2013

This year we’re going all out for Extra Life 2013 by throwing a 25-hour gaming marathon at the studio that starts on November 1st and ends on November 2nd. All the proceeds benefit Extra Life and Children’s Hospital & Research Center Oakland. In 2011 we raised $5000, 2012 we raised over $10,000, and this year we’re supersizing our goal to $15,000 to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network. CMN tirelessly works to aid children with common childhood afflictions and life threatening challenges such as birth defects or cancer. We’re kicking off the fundraising project today at the studio, and are looking for fans of the studio to join up with us on our mission to raise money. We’ll be randomly giving away studio swag (games, surprises, etc.) to people that join our team and raise money, so make sure to check the box to allow us to see your email address.
