We couldn’t be happier for the return of the greatest Call of Duty fan event! Back in 2011, we took part in the original Call of Duty XP, shared new MW3 features with the community, and had MW3 MP playable for the first time publicly on the showroom floor. From the opening keynote, to the final standing room only concert by Kayne West, it was an amazing time to showcase our game and an incredible opportunity for us to connect with our fans. Later this week, we’re incredibly excited to be heading back to Call of Duty XP 2016 in LA to celebrate the franchise. In honor of its return, we have some special community activities planned for the weekend. Let’s jump right in!

We’re hosting a panel on Saturday, September 3^rd at 5PM highlighting our Seven Year Journey as the newest Call of Duty studio in over a decade. We’ll be touching on the early days before MW3, our development and expansion efforts through AW, and present day initiatives that are redefining our studio. It's a great opportunity for our fans to catch up with Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey, hear behind-the-scenes stories from the development of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, catch up on some of the recent studio developments, and maybe, just maybe, get clued in on some of our undiscovered MW3 and AW Easter Eggs. Also, for all the diehard AW fans out there – it’s being moderated by Russell “Cormack” Richardson, of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare fame!

We’re also hosting a fan meetup after the panel, where fans can take pictures with Glen, Michael, Russell, and some special guests. We’ll bring some limited edition swag for handouts, and feel free to bring games and posters for us to sign. Also, if you see us rocking our white Sledgehammer Games Dev Shirts at the event, please stop us and say hi!

For our fans that can’t make the event, we’re going to drop the weapon of your choice in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare from Thursday, 9/1 – Tuesday, 9/6 – simply play a game of AW (XB1, PS4, PC) between those dates and it’s yours.
