Sledgehammer Helps SMASH The Opportunity Gap

Sledgehammer Games recently partnered with the Level Playing Field Institute (LPFI) and hosted its first-ever in-house mentor session. Fourteen high-potential students from LPFI's local SMASH Academy (or Summer Math and Science Honors) got a special look behind the scenes of game development, as SHG had six members of their team representing Game/Level Design, Art, Character/Animation, and Engineering. Each presenter gave a brief overview of what they do, how they got into gaming, information about their educational background and how to prepare for a career in gaming.
