We have received a ton of great feedback and match data from Weekend 1, and we look forward to another exciting few days of playing online with the community. Thank you for playing and for taking the time to share your thoughts – we are incredibly grateful for it.
Weekend 2 of the Private Multiplayer Beta brings new opportunities for us and new gameplay features for you. To begin, we’re starting by increasing the level cap to 30. That’s five new levels of unlocks to explore and try out. We’re also launching a new map in the core MP experience: Aachen. Set in a war-torn town in Western Germany, this destroyed environment is made up of vulnerable streets and bombed-out apartment buildings. Push down the center street or duck into the tight quarters of buildings, while dodging cross-fire from the opposing lanes. Be on the lookout for Mountain Division soldiers – the long sightlines of Main Street can be dangerous without cover fire.
A couple orders of business:
As usual, should you experience technical issues, please check with the Customer Support team at Activision, who stands ready to help get you back on track. You can contact them at @ATVIAssist on Twitter.
For code redemption questions, check out www.callofduty.com/beta for a full FAQ with tons of information.
If you notice anything that doesn't seem right while you play – and we expect that you will, since issues and bugs will always arise during a Beta – please comment on our new Beta feedback Reddit thread so we can log it and work to address it.
We’ll also be providing a Beta Web Survey for feedback on your overall experience of the Private Multiplayer Beta.
Finally, if you want to catch up on our dialog with the community and changes coming, please check out our Weekend 1 summaries here.
You all have been great, honest, and respectful in your feedback. We are proud to have such a great community of people who want to help us make the best game possible. Thank you once again!
See you online!
UPDATE, SEPTEMBER 2nd:
Today, we’ve added some fun surprises for you in the Call of Duty: WWII Private Multiplayer Beta. We have increased the level cap to 35! This means you now have new weapons, basic training, and equipment available, such as the M1928 and the Flamethrower Scorestreak.
We’ve also added KILL CONFIRMED! We can’t wait to see you play, and look forward to hearing your feedback on these new additions to the Private Multiplayer Beta. Thank you once again for all of your valuable feedback. In case you missed the updates on our Reddit thread, let’s get into the top community concerns and some of the issues we are currently addressing:
We’ve made some changes based on Weekend 1 feedback. TDM match limit is now at 100. Kills on Domination are also now 100 points. We also reduced Molotovs to one per score streak, and raised the difficulty of the paratroopers. We’re monitoring game data and community feedback on these, to help inform our decision for the final game. In addition, we’ve adjusted the ADS out of sprint and those changes will roll into the MP Beta on Saturday.
We also heard you on several other issues. We’ve addressed Hitmarker feedback for November, and we’re considering flinch adjustments as well. We think you’ll also appreciate that, in response to your feedback, we plan to add the following controller layouts for ship:
Lots more happening behind the scenes, (and plenty from last week captured here). We’re sure to have more to share throughout the rest of Weekend 2. Thank you so much for all your feedback. Keep it coming! And have fun this weekend!
Good luck on the front lines, and be sure to stay tuned to our Twitter page @SHGames for more news coming soon.
